
Patricia McAdams, MD
Dr. McAdams is passionate about providing comprehensive ear, nose and throat (ENT) care to the East Texas community. Dr. McAdams is an Otolaryngologist, also known as an ENT physician. She specializes in medical and surgical treatment of patients of all ages, from newborns to adults. She takes time to get to know her patients, understand their concerns and answer their questions. Dr. McAdams recommends conservative treatment when possible, reserving surgery for when it is truly necessary.
Dr. McAdams treats a wide range of clinical problems to include: sinus infections, nasal congestion, enlarged tonsils/tonsil infections, snoring and sleep apnea in children, salivary gland problems, thyroid nodules and cancer, hyperparathyroidism, nose bleeds, allergies, voice problems, difficulty swallowing, ear infections, dizziness, hearing loss, excessive ear wax, traumatic facial injuries, skin lesions of the face and scalp, neck masses (lumps), and cancers of mouth, nose and throat. Dr. McAdams performs minimally invasive procedures including: balloon sinuplasty for sinusitis, intracapsular tonsillectomy, which causes less pain and bleeding when compared to standard tonsillectomy, and the ClariFix procedure for runny nose/postnasal drip. She offers innovative new treatments combined with a traditional, patient-centered approach to medicine.

Education & Training
Dr. McAdams grew up in The Woodlands, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biology while playing varsity NCAA division III soccer. Dr. McAdams obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, graduating magna cum laude in 2012. She was inducted into the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, as a junior – an honor reserved for the top 5% of the class.
Experience
Dr. McAdams served as a physician in the US Army for 9 years from 2012 to 2021. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. While there, she trained at some of the best hospitals in the Northwest including: Seattle Children’s Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, and Harborview Medical Center.
She graduated residency in 2017 and became board certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery in 2018. She worked as an attending physician at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) in El Paso, Texas from 2017-2021 where she was privileged to care for US military members, veterans and their families. During this time, she provided ENT expertise to the WBAMC commission on cancer and multidisciplinary tumor board. She also taught surgery residents and PA students.
